NEXT regular meeting: Sunday July 14 at 6pm: Craftsbury Town Hall

Post by hlf » Mon Jul 01, 2019 6:47 am

We had a great meeting on June 30, decided to skip the 4th of July weekend, AND decided we would mount a public, staged reading of the Robert Schenkkan script, The Investigation: A Crime in Ten Acts. This is the piece that the Hollywood actors read (Rudy shared the streaming link in an email last week), and the script is available for community groups to produce. Total running time is about 75 minutes. Please see the questions below in comments to this thread, and chime in with your thoughts.

What do you think of the idea?

What do you think about the idea of doing a staged reading of the Schenkkan script? Would you like to take part? What would you like to do?

Would you be up for a "special" meeting before our next regular meeting, on the 14th?

We are thinking about bringing together the folks who want to work on this for a special meeting before our next regular meeting. We want to be sure everybody gets to see the video stream, and think there is some benefit in watching it together. Also, we want to get about the business of actually putting on our own reading -- finding a venue, assigning the parts, solving assorted issues of staging, etc. If you would like to participate, please suggest a meeting time or three or four (we like choice!) sometime in the next week or 10 days or so that would work for you.
